Test Solutions Tackle Multiple LTE Requirements
Aeroflex has announced a suite of test solutions for the emerging Long-Term Evolution (LTE) 4G standard (see the figure). For example, the 7100 delivers the most comprehensive testing capability for LTE mobile devices available in a single benchtop instrument, according to the company, enabling chipset designers, software developers, and handset manufacturers to accelerate the pace of development projects. New features in the 7100 will tackle LTE/cdma2000 interworking, LTE/UTRAN & GERAN handover, TD-LTE mode, and LTE mobile device conformance test.
Aeroflex has announced a suite of test solutions—including the 7100, the TM500, IQCreator, and the 3020 and 3410—for the emerging Long-Term Evolution (LTE) 4G standard.
The TM500 fully supports LTE network development, verification, and optimization, both in the lab and over the air. Supporting the LTE-FDD and TD-LTE standards, it provides single, multiple, and capacity test mobile versions for testing against LTE basestations and networks. Using the TM500, LTE network infrastructure designs can be fully load-tested, stressed, and optimized to help ensure that robust, flexible, and high-performance solutions are delivered on time to network operators.
The IQCreator is an easy to use, Windows-based signal-generation software application that facilitates the creation of waveforms that emulate digitally modulated RF and analog baseband I and Q transmission formats, Aeroflex says. Used in conjunction with the company’s 3020 series PXI-based and 3410 digital RF signal generators, IQCreator supports LTE-FDD uplink and downlink waveforms to serve the needs of RF component selection and testing.
